The Difference is the Dentistry

Don’t Worry. Be Sedated.

Sedation DentistryWouldn’t it be wonderful to never dread the dentist again? Dental fear or anxiety are common amongst many patients, causing them to avoid trips to the dentist and compromising the health of their smiles. Most people who avoid the dentist suffer from fear, while others have had traumatic past experiences. Some have a low pain tolerance, sensitive gag reflex, or are resistant to numbing injections. No matter how minor or severe your dental needs may be, sedation dentistry will have you feeling relaxed in no time- simply take a small pill prior to your visit to experience up to six hours of complete comfort.

Depending on the condition of your teeth, your sedation may last from two to six hours. At J Stuart Oglesby DDS our highly-trained staff will focus only on you during your visit. There’ll be nothing to interrupt or interfere with your treatment, which is why we can usually treat even the most serious cases in just one visit.  You will take your sedative before you leave home, so someone must accompany you to and from the dentist’s office. Although you’ll feel completely refreshed when the procedure is over, you’ll still be under the effects of sedation.

Throughout your visit our experienced clinical team will monitor your vital signs. You’ll receive compassionate, attentive care that will make you feel like you’re getting a spa treatment. The best part will come when you look in the mirror and see your healthy, happy smile.

Sedation dentistry is a safe and effective way to eliminate the stress associated with the sights, sounds, and smells associated with the dentist. You will be conscious and responsive throughout your procedure, but you’ll be in a deeply relaxed state, limiting your movement and nervousness. Even if you’ve been putting off dental appointments for years, Dr. Oglesby and his professional team with restore your smile’s health in as little as one visit! Contact us for a consultation!
